If you’re a working mom like me, you often fear going home after a hard day and feeding your family a huge meal. Typically we all render the same old thought, day by day and week by week. There are several many kinds of crackpots out there and they can not never do all of them. For a simple one you can comfortably buy one for about ten to fifteen dollars. I purchased mine for around $30 but it’s the persuasive aspect that really makes up for the loss. Mine is big enough to accommodate a big roast or chicken, its environment is strong, medium, low, and soft. It even has an automatic shutdown window when the meal is over, and sets it warmly ready for you. It also has a flexible plug, which is a big bonus for dishwasher security. You may also buy slow cooker bags (like turkey roasting bags), which reduce washing up.
Beef stew is one of my best foods on a cold winter day. Then a broth is better, and fills you up. Here’s an old traditional recipe that my mum sent me to put in my Crockpot.
Quick Beef Cooker Stew:
- 1 1⁄2 pounds of stew beef match 1 inch cubed (usually will buy pre-cut in your grocery store)
- 12 Baby carrots (or 4 medium peeled carrots, sliced into 1 inch pieces)
- 4 Small peeled potatoes, served in chunks
- 1 Sliced onion, and quarters
- 2 Tbsp Sauce for Worcestershire
- 2 Cubic beef bouillon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 tsp chilli pepper
- 2 Leaves of the Bay
- 1⁄2 cm thyme
- 1⁄4 tsp dried garlic
- 2 Cups of beef and veal
- 1 Tablespoon of water
- 3 Tbsp meal
Start brown meat in an oil skillet until finely cooked on the out side (do not cook through all the way). If needed, this stage can be skipped but the meat locks brown in the colour. Carrots, tomatoes , onions, and browned meat in the Crockpot layer should often be put at the bottom of the Crockpot as a warning. Connect sauce Worcestershire, bullion beef and all the ingredients (except flour). Place in the stock and water to fill with meat and vegetables. Cook 8 to 10 hours at low temperature, or 4 to 5 hours at cold. Around 30 minutes until you’re about to serve, cut the bay leaves, blend the flour and around 1/3 cup of water together in a separate dish, apply to the crockpot and combine to thicken to create more of a gravy vice broth. Switch the Crockpot to full and finish cooking for another 30 minutes. Serve, and have fun.
